MEC and United for Sport are proud to offer you unique coaching for the Ottawa MEC trail race series. Training programs, trail running clinic at Camp Fortune and group warm-ups on the day of each race: everything is there to allow you to have fun and progress this season!
Free training programs
United for Sport offers 8-week programs for trail running races (5, 10, 20, and 40 km). For each distance, a beginner and an intermediate version are offered to accommodate both those who are new to the world of trail running and those with more experience. These programs are offered to you thanks to the involvement of Philippe Viau-Dupuis, Julien Lachance and Maxime Leboeuf, elite runners who wish to share their knowledge and their passion.

During your preparation, your coaches will contact you by email to share advice and important information about your program. If you no longer wish to receive emails from United for Sport, you can unsubscribe at any time.
Group warm-up before each race
Before each race, United for Sport athletes-coaches will host a group warm-up to teach runners an effective routine to prepare the body for the effort. They will also provide advice aimed at gaining speed in ascents and descents. The warm-ups are suitable for runners of all levels and will last between 30 to 45 minutes.
Important details about group warm-ups (time, meeting point, etc.) will be published on the MEC website dedicated to each race.
Free trail run and clinic at Camp Fortune
In collaboration with MEC, United for Sport athletes will lead a FREE trail running clinic at Camp Fortune on June 13th at 6 PM. Planned : lessons on main techniques to be more efficient on climbs, descents and technical sections, followed by a light jog. Workouts and clinics are suitable for both beginners and experienced runners.
